After the entry of the IG from the police department to the prison department, doors have also opened for SSPs, consideration is ongoing on the proposal to appoint a jail superintendent.

It is possible to deploy any uniformed forces in the prison, but not any civil officer. The plan to deploy civil officers in the prison department has fallen into disarray.

After the Malir jail break, the police department is also ready to make a second entry into the prison department. After the Khairpur incident, a proposal has been made to appoint SSPs as superintendents in dangerous prisons. According to informed sources, the issue of prisoners escaping from Malir jail had opened doors for the police in the prison department. Fida Hussain Mastoi was appointed as the IG prisons. After the Malir jail break and then the death of a prisoner in a firing inside the jail in Khairpur, the senior officials have been forced to take big decisions on the issue of dangerous prisons. Sources say that a proposal has been made to appoint SSPs who play an important role in field operations as prison superintendents, while the second proposal has appointed civil officers. However, the police department and the prison department are uniformed forces, but how can civil officers be appointed in the prison department? In this regard, experts say that it is possible to deploy any uniformed forces in the prison department, but it is not possible to deploy any civil officer.
