Karachi – A new twist has emerged in the Mustafa Anwar case involving the so-called "Dollar Drug." A 23-year-old youth, allegedly implicated in this scandal, has stirred media attention. The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and Citizen-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) are now investigating the matter.

The incident began when the young man, after being influenced by social media and peer pressure, reportedly began using a drug known locally as “Dollar.” This drug is said to be highly addictive and expensive, costing around Rs. 50,000 per month. Alongside drug use, the youth fell into criminal behavior.

When arrested, the accused revealed that he had been trapped by Mustafa Anwar, who supplied drugs under the guise of a motivational speaker. Anwar allegedly used emotional manipulation, offering false promises of success and a better life.

Police sources say Anwar claimed to help troubled youth but instead led them into addiction. Investigations found fake testimonials and manipulated images used to mislead victims.

Authorities report that this isn’t an isolated case. Anwar had allegedly built a network targeting students and unemployed youth, using social platforms to lure them in.

AVCC and CPLC are expanding their investigation. If proven guilty, Mustafa Anwar could face serious charges including drug trafficking, manipulation, and mental exploitation.
