On the one hand, Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani is seen formulating a plan against the builders mafia and corrupt officers involved in illegal constructions, while the recently appointed Director Central Syed Zia in the Central District has joined hands with the contractor mafia involved in illegal bank constructions through corrupt officers and allowed the construction work to continue until late at night on the sealed land that was under the show cause action. In this regard, according to information received from sources, corrupt officers posted in North Karachi, who are close to and considered as the darlings of Director General Sindh Building Control Authority Ishaq Khuhro, have heated up the market for illegal constructions, due to which Director General Ishaq Khuhro and Deputy Commissioner Central Talha Saleem have also become darlings. The officers are being shown to be completely unaware of the illegal constructions going on under the alleged patronage of the officers. Several attempts were made to contact Director Central Syed Zia regarding the ongoing constructions on the sealed bank, but his position could not be reached as the call was not attended.
