After a terrible explosion in fireworks at Al-Amana Plaza on MA Jinnah Road, the bomb disposal squad prepared its report after a long search, according to which 500 kilograms of fireworks exploded. Police sources said that 500 kilograms of fireworks exploded in the explosion, which caused severe damage to the building and the sound of the explosion was heard 5 to 7 kilometers away. According to the report, the explosion caused destruction within a radius of 100 meters and during the search, two warehouses were found on the ground floor of the building, which were filled with fireworks. Fireworks were also found in two rooms built on the roof of the Ground Piece 2 building. Sources said that during the search, two containers filled with fireworks were also found in the ground near Al-Amana Plaza and at present, a total of more than 5,000 kilograms of fireworks are present. Sources said that some raw materials were imported and fireworks were manufactured locally in an empty space at the back of the building. Fireworks were also imported from Balochistan, Lahore and China. The report recommended that the fireworks that were damaged in the explosion be moved to a safe place as soon as possible. Police sources said that the explosives used in fireworks can explode due to even the slightest carelessness, including slight friction and heat, and in the case of using matches or short circuit, the explosives in fireworks prove to be extremely dangerous. It may be recalled that on June 26, 2009, a terrible explosion took place in a factory manufacturing fireworks in a densely populated area adjacent to the Garibabad Railway Gate, in which 3 people, including a woman, were killed and 30 people were injured.
