Karachi (Crime Reporter) IG Sindh has taken up the task of improving the investigation system, two major decisions in a single day, a ban on getting case papers prepared by private investigators, while it has also been decided to recruit 2,000 ASIs in the investigation. According to the details, IG Sindh has taken up the baton to improve the flawed investigation system in Sindh. A ban has been imposed on getting case papers prepared by investigation officers from retired police personnel and private individuals (secretaries). According to IG Sindh, the case papers will be prepared by the investigation officers themselves. IG Sindh has categorically announced that it is prohibited to entrust this work to any unauthorized or unrelated person. Getting case papers prepared by unauthorized persons affects the process of justice and benefits the accused. Legal action should be taken against the investigating officers and officials who are guilty of negligence in violating the orders, IG Sindh has issued instructions to all DIGs, SSPs and SSP Investigations to implement the order promptly. According to sources, a high-level meeting was held in which 2,000 ASIs (Investigation) will be recruited in the DIG, Iqbal Memon, Secretary Services Ghulam Ali Brimani, DIG, so that the investigation system in the province was being improved. On the other hand, Naeem Ahmed, Special Secretary Services Saeed Ahmed Leghari and other senior officers participated in the meeting to improve and further strengthen the investigation capacity of the police. The decision taken in the meeting can be developed on modern lines. The Chief Secretary Sindh directed the Secretary Services to remove all bureaucratic obstacles in the recruitment process so that this process can be completed transparently, effectively and on time. The Chief Secretary Sindh said that strengthening the Investigation Branch of the police is a long overdue task for the Sindh Police as investigation is an important component of the police force which needs more facilities and resources to deliver justice. He added that the creation of these posts is an important step of the Sindh government which will help in filling this gap and making the investigation more efficient. Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah also stressed that improving the investigative capacity of the police will play an important role in restoring public confidence, timely delivery of justice and eradicating crime. IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon said that the recruitment of ASI Investigation will not only improve the quality of investigation but also enable timely and effective action against criminal elements.
