Karachi (Court Reporter) A local court in Karachi has released a couple arrested in the case of torturing domestic worker Zainab at PECHS on bail of Rs 30,000 each. In the court of Karachi’s Judicial Magistrate Sharqi, the police presented the couple arrested for torturing domestic worker Zainab at PECHS. Plaintiff Asia took the stand that the accused burned the girl with an iron after two straps were burnt while ironing, and the girl’s feet and waist were burned with a hot iron. The investigating officer said that the girl is undergoing treatment at Jinnah Hospital, but the medical report has not been received. The police of Firozabad police station had registered a case and arrested the couple. According to the police, the girl was subjected to brutal torture. The victim, while giving a statement to the police, told that while ironing, her uncle's dupatta got burnt, on which the uncle and her husband used a hot iron to burn her and tortured her. The mistress called her mother on August 31 to say that Zainab was not well, and when she met her mother, she showed her wounds. After hearing the arguments of the lawyers, the court granted bail to the accused couple in exchange for bonds of Rs 30,000 each and ordered their release.
