Shell casings found during recent attacks on police officers are being subjected to manual forensic analysis, investigation sources say.

Karachi (Crime Reporter) It has been revealed that two terrorist groups were involved in the attacks on police in the city and after several incidents on police personnel, police authorities and other investigative agencies have also joined hands. According to sources, a new revelation has come to light in the investigation of armed attacks on police personnel and evidence has been found of the involvement of two different groups in the attacks on officials. Sources said that so far, two different types of weapons have been used in the attacks on police personnel, evidence has been found of the same weapon being used in the shooting incidents on police personnel Saqib in Defense Phase One and a police officer in Malir. In this regard, it has been reported that the weapon used in the shooting at the Gizri police mobile was also used in other police attacks and it is suspected that the two groups of terrorists are jointly involved in these attacks. It should be noted that the machine used to check bullet casings worth crores of rupees in the forensic department located at the Garden Headquarters has also been inactive for the past several months, due to which technical difficulties have been faced in the investigation for the past several months. Similarly, due to the shutdown of the machine, forensic examination of weapons used in various incidents including terrorism, target killing, robbery in Karachi is not being done, however, with the help of expert investigators, manual checking is being done and the recovered shells are being matched. During the recent attacks on police personnel by investigative sources, manual forensic examination of shells found from different places across the city is being done, however, no accused involved in the attacks on police personnel has been arrested so far. So far this year, 14 police personnel have been martyred in various firing incidents in Karachi.
