Karachi (Crime Reporter) Two accused involved in gambling and feeding cricket matches, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Zahid Ali, have been arrested by the FIA. FIA Anti-Corruption Islamabad has registered cases against the accused. The text of the case states that the arrested accused Zahid Ali is a Sindh Police officer, professional cricketer and umpire. The accused Zahid Ali also played cricket until 2021 and was umpiring at the district level. Zahid Ali was also involved in online cricket gambling, had contacts with international female cricketers. He was in contact with cricketers in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana and other African countries. The text further said that the accused Zahid Ali used to introduce himself as a professional umpire, connected with people through a WhatsApp group called World Cricket Law. The accused has also received a notice from the ICC, the accused was also involved in human trafficking for cricket gambling. The accused were also involved in preparing fake educational certificates.
