Headline: DSP Ali Raza Murder Case – Interim Challan Submitted to Court

Karachi – In a major development in the murder case of DSP Ali Raza, an interim challan (charge sheet) has been submitted to the court. The DSP was killed in October 2024 during an encounter at Ayub Goth in Karachi, in which two suspected criminals, Hafiz Kamran and Usman Rashid, were also killed.

According to the report, police have arrested two suspects in the case and submitted an interim charge sheet to the Judicial Magistrate. The challan includes detailed findings from the investigation and postmortem report, confirming the DSP’s death occurred during official duty.

Investigations reveal that DSP Ali Raza was leading a raid against a gang involved in serious crimes, including extortion and robbery. The accused opened fire on the police team, resulting in a fierce gun battle in which DSP Raza was fatally wounded. His death sparked outrage and demands for justice from both the public and fellow officers.

The challan names two arrested suspects and outlines charges under multiple sections, including terrorism, murder, and attempted murder. Police say they are still hunting for additional accomplices involved in the attack.

The court has accepted the interim challan and scheduled further proceedings. The legal team has vowed to ensure the culprits face full punishment under the law.
