Headline: Illegal and Fake Educational Institutions Endangering Students’ Futures in Karachi
Report by: Asamat Sheikh
Karachi – A shocking rise in the number of fake and unregistered educational institutions in Karachi has put the academic future of thousands of students at risk. These institutions operate without any official affiliation from the education board or approval from the Directorate of Colleges. They continue to deceive students and parents with false claims of legitimacy and quick certifications.
According to the investigation, these institutions attract students by offering admissions in programs such as matriculation, intermediate (11th and 12th grade), and bachelor's degrees without proper classes, exams, or qualified staff. Many students, unaware of the fraud, end up spending large amounts of money only to find their degrees are not recognized anywhere.
These institutions often operate in small buildings or rented spaces in areas like Korangi, Landhi, and New Karachi. They advertise heavily and even offer certificates for courses the students never attended.
The report reveals that some institutions also claim fake affiliations with known colleges, further misleading the public. Even though complaints have been submitted to authorities, no serious action has been taken so far.
Educationists warn that this growing scam is destroying students' careers and undermining the credibility of the education system. The public demands strict action against these fake institutions and better oversight to prevent further damage.
