A robber escaped with 25 to 30 tolas of gold worth Rs 9 million from a goldsmith's shop near Bhittai Colony Ground.


The CCTV footage of the incident showed the robbers' confidence, saying they had no fear of the police.


Karachi (Reported by Executioner Mohsin Rashid) The Korangi district of the Quaid-e-Azam district has become a paradise for robbers, where for the second day also, robbers broke into a goldsmith’s shop and escaped with jewelry worth millions of rupees. After looting gold jewelry worth millions of rupees from jewelers’ shops in Korangi on Tuesday and killing the shopkeeper for resisting, the robbers took full advantage of the poor performance of the police and on Wednesday near Bhittai Colony Ground in Korangi, looted gold worth millions of rupees from a jewelers’ shop and fled. One day, robbers opened fire on the funeral prayer of a jeweler’s shopkeeper in Korangi, while the robbers were looting Bismillah Jewelers’ shop near Bhittai Ground in Korangi. The CCTV footage of the incident showed the robbers expressing their confidence that they had no fear of the police and that they had taken the shopkeeper hostage at gunpoint and, with great courage, filled a bag with gold worth Rs. 1:03 pm in front of his eyes. According to Zakir, the owner of Bismillah Jewellers, the robbers entered his shop named Bismillah Jewellers near Korangi Bhittai Ground at 1:03 pm on Wednesday and made a robbery at gunpoint. They packed 25 to 30 tolas of gold worth Rs. 80 to 90 lakhs in the shop’s showcase and fled. It should be noted that on Tuesday, shopkeeper Mateen was killed in broad daylight in the Jewellers Market located at No. 2, Korangi. The robbers had looted a huge amount of gold and fled.
