Instructions to wear bulletproof vests while on duty in case of incidents of targeting personnel
Karachi (Crime Reporter) After the incidents of targeting police personnel, all personnel have been instructed to wear bulletproof jackets while on duty. According to the details, after the incidents of targeting police personnel came to light, the Additional IG Karachi has issued a directive to the personnel to take precautionary measures while on duty. In the directive issued by the AIG, all police personnel have been instructed to wear bulletproof jackets while on duty and not to send a single officer on picket or patrolling. The directive also states that the concerned DSPs should brief the personnel before deployment, DSPs and ALSIs should inspect security during patrols, the directive further states that the security guards deployed with VIPs and VVIPs should also be checked, and they should be briefed on taking protective measures while on duty. This directive issued by the Additional IG has been sent to all DIGs of Karachi Range, in addition to this, CIA, Traffic and other relevant officers have also been informed. A directive has been sent, making it clear that no negligence will be tolerated in this matter and strict action will be taken.
