Dairy farmers express concern over rising crime in Buffalo Colony

Karachi (Crime Reporter) Robbers disguised as shepherds are on the rise, the news of the daily Shahr-e-Quaid has been proven correct, dairy farmers have written a letter to the IG Sindh Police regarding the increasing crimes in the limits of the Buffalo Colony area of Malir, Makhan police station. According to the details, on November 26, 2025, the daily Shahr-e-Quaid had published a news about robbers disguised as shepherds, which was confirmed by the letter written to the IG Sindh by the dairy farmers. The daily Shahr-e-Quaid had pointed out that the modern system of Sindh Police regarding the registration of shepherds is poor, taking advantage of which, raw robbers are active in different areas in the guise of shepherds. The Karachi Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association Pakistan has sent a formal letter to the IG Sindh Police expressing serious concern over the increasing crimes in the limits of Buffalo Colony, Malir district, Sukhun police station, demanding immediate action against robberies, extortion and the activities of armed groups. The text of the letter states that dairy farmers are being sent bullets along with allowance slips, while incidents of harassment and threats are increasing. Farmers have warned that the situation is getting out of control and criminal elements are getting stronger. Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association President Shakir Umar Gujjar said that dozens of letters have been written to various authorities to resolve this serious issue, but no concrete action is seen. He said that the application related to the registration of herdsmen has not been completed yet, due to which criminals disguise themselves as herdsmen and remain behind fences. According to Shakir Umar Gujjar, after the operations in the slum areas, several criminal elements have taken refuge in the dairy farms of Bhins Colony, where they are committing crimes in a systematic manner in a safe environment. Dairy farmers have demanded that a large-scale operation be carried out within the limits of the Salhan police station to eliminate armed groups and extortionist elements and provide protection to thousands of families associated with the dairy industry.
