Islamabad (Bureau Report) Expensive beauty parlors and doctors charging high fees have come on the radar of the FBR, in the first phase, an audit will be conducted in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. According to details, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to audit professionals and business sectors in big cities to expand the tax net. Sources said that doctors, beauty parlors and businesses selling expensive cosmetics have now come on the radar of the FBR. Sources said that the location, brand and related information of beauty parlors and e-tax clinics have already been collected so that they can be included in the tax net. Audit notices have been started to be issued for expensive beauty parlors and doctors charging high fees in big cities. In the first phase, the income of 250 expensive doctors will be audited in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, including 100 in Karachi and Lahore, and 50 in Islamabad. According to sources, the FBR will also audit private companies in the paint sector to check tax evasion. The services of 600 private auditors have been hired for auditing various sectors, while the services of 200 more private auditors will be added in the next few days. In total, the FBR will hire 2,000 private auditors. Private auditors will be required to keep taxpayer information confidential so that the information can be protected.
