Karachi (Reported by Mohsin Rashid) The series of heartbreaking accidents due to uncontrolled heavy traffic continues in the city and a woman riding a motorcycle died after being hit by a trailer near Dua Hotel on Maripur Road. According to the police, the body of the woman riding a motorcycle who died after being hit by a trailer was taken to the Civil Hospital by Edhi volunteers, where she was identified as 28-year-old Rehana. Duty officer Shakeel of Kalri police station said that the woman was riding a motorcycle when the trailer hit her, as a result of which the woman fell on the road and was crushed under the wheels of the trailer and died. The police reached the spot and took the driver responsible for the accident, Luqman, into custody and took the trailer into their possession. Duty officer Shakeel said that the deceased was a resident of Balad Yeh Ittehad Town and a widow. Her father has also passed away and the deceased’s son also reached the hospital. However, the police handed over the body of the deceased to her mother after legal proceedings. According to the police officer, the heirs of the deceased said that they would come for legal action after the burial. On the other hand, a motorcycle rider died and another person was seriously injured in a collision with a trailer near Kemari Gate No. 15 in Jackson area. The injured person could not be immediately identified. According to SHO Jackson Rana Khushi Muhammad, the injured person in the accident was a motorcycle rider while the deceased was traveling with the motorcycle rider. He said that the accident occurred due to the collision with the trailer. After the accident, the driver of the trailer fled the scene.
