Karachi (Crime Reporter) An incident has come to light in Karachi in which an extortionist used artificial intelligence (AI) and social media to extort money from a driver. Malir Cantt Police have made surprising revelations about the extortionist after arresting him. According to Malir Cantt Police, the arrested accused had been working for the owner for thirty years and had recently married someone of his choice. During the investigation, the accused said that he kept watching extortion videos on social media and then prepared an extortion letter in English with the help of AI, which he printed and threw at the owner’s house. Through this, the accused demanded an extortion of Rs 8 million. The accused further stated that he also lied to the owner that the extortionist had threatened him by calling him from an internet number. According to Malir Police, the accused has been handed over to the CIA for further investigation. In addition, the owner of the shop from which the accused got the printout of the letter will also be included in the investigation. Police say the incident is an example of the unusual use of social media and AI, which has even law enforcement agencies puzzled.
